Welcome to 2020

Mike Regennitter

The past five years have offered an incredible experience: I have the privilege of working with many volunteers and a fantastic team every day. I sincerely enjoy the opportunity of connecting with members at various events.

We have some new leaders that joined the board in November and some that have served their last term. A quick shout-out to Terry Kiwala, past president and ex-officio board member and Michael Davison, past Rocky Mountain regional director, for offering their leadership and serving on the board.

 German Trips

Jim O'Sullivan, past national president, will be stepping down from his role as German Tripleiter. O’Sullivan has been leading one of MBCA’s most well popular and informative member benefits for the past 14 years. For the past 25 trips, he has led the charge with our Daimler partners in Stuttgart in creating a legendary touring experience of the Mercedes-Benz and AMG facilities and other sites.

He has also been long-time adviser to me and an instrumental volunteer committed to elevating members’ positive experience with MBCA; he has more than proven his value to the club.

Jim, thank you for your 24 years of service, leadership, counsel, support, and, most importantly, friendship. Job well done.

Moving into 2020, Jim will continue to advise and play an instrumental role in handing the German Trips over to two new volunteers. After a thorough vetting process, Cliff Reyle and Chuck Stanford will be assuming the German Trip Leiter responsibilities to continue the German Trips experiential legacy.

Cliff has been an MBCA member for the past 19 years and served on the national board as the Central Region’s director, director-at-large, and national secretary. He has expertise in leading significant events and knowledge for creating a legendary customer experience. Cliff has been on five German Trips and understands the importance of creating an everlasting impression that these trips have offered many MBCA members.

Chuck has been an MBCA member for the past 30 years and served as the Desert Stars Section president, the Southwest Regional director, and participated with the 2012 StarFest volunteer committee. He was part of the team that created the very first concours held on the Biltmore Hotel grounds in Phoenix, Arizona. After eight years, the 2012 MBCA StarFest continues to receive rave reviews. Chuck grasps the importance of partnerships and teamwork, and also possesses the knowledge for creating a legendary experience for MBCA members.

These two will work together in continuing the German Trip legacy. Cliff and Chuck, thank you for volunteering in leading the German Trips into a long and prosperous future.

If you haven't been on a German Trip, or even if you have, I will encourage you to consider booking a 2020 trip. To learn more, visit www.mbca.org/travel.
