Founded in 1968, Mercedes-Benz of Wichita, Kansas, will soon celebrate 50 years in Wichita. The dealership recently concluded the construction of a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility, complete with additional display space for Sprinter and AMG vehicles. Mercedes-Benz of Wichita is currently owned and operated locally by the luxury division of  the Scholfield Automotive Group, overseen by managing partner and President Robert Cuillo with Steve Hatchett, Thomas Devlin and Roger Scholfield.

The move to the new facility in 2013, with its Starbucks Coffee Haus café, premier express service lanes and digitally managed service drive – the sleek modern furnishings, comfortable lounges and quiet area – a children’s playroom and gorgeous landscaping were highlights for the Mercedes-Benz brand in Wichita. More than 1,000 invited guests celebrated in grand fashion this new and ideal location – an anchor property for the Wichita luxury collection – at “A Night Among the Stars.” More impressive is the customer experience (Luxury Experience®), continuously evolving and improving based on feedback from guests and associates. It is the Luxury Experience that truly sets Mercedes-Benz of Wichita apart.

The Luxury Experience is a jaw-dropping suite of complimentary services and amenities made available for the enjoyment of all Mercedes-Benz of Wichita customers. Some of the most popular benefits – all geared toward a customer-first attitude in every facet of the dealership’s operations – include pickup and delivery of the patron’s vehicle for any service or maintenance work (even if it’s only an oil change), carwash service as often as a guest desires and mobile wash service (by appointment) brought to the customer’s location.

Other benefits of the Luxury Experience include complimentary lunch if a customer chooses to wait for service on premises, a current model-year loaner vehicle with any service (fuel consumed is also complimentary), valet and concierge services and VIP parking for major events at the 15,000-seat Intrust Bank Arena.

Through various arms of the Luxury Experience, Mercedes-Benz of Wichita is in constant contact with dealership clientele, oftentimes for matters completely unrelated to the purchase or maintenance of their automobile. With that spirit in mind, Mercedes-Benz of Wichita is very involved with several local community organizations including Rainbows United, American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association, Wichita Children’s Home, Starbird-Devlin Charities Car Show and many more.

Mercedes-Benz of Wichita has been a strong supporter of Mercedes-Benz Club of America’s Wichita Section. As part its Luxury Experience, this dealership pays for a one-year MBCA membership for each customer who purchases, leases or renews a lease on a Mercedes-Benz vehicle. Additionally, the dealership has hosted several Wichita Section meetings and tech sessions, providing snacks and door prizes. On top of that, the dealership has invited section members to exclusive model-release and presentation events such as the GT S’s special viewing in September 2015.

Melody Matulewic, marketing and operations manager, stays in regular contact with Wichita Section officers, often providing ideas for future section events; aside from supporting several local charity events, the dealership also donates prizes for the annual German Car Show in Salina, Kansas. With that event in mind, the Wichita Section and Mercedes-Benz of Wichita are considering hosting a similar event in Wichita in October 2016. Wichita Section members are very fortunate to have a dealership that is so supportive of the MBCA.
