With 2020 behind us, we're ready to take on the new year 2021 with a vengeance. Hoping that the pandemic will become less of a concern, and with safety precautions in place, we're ramping up activities for 2021 for our members. Check your calendars and begin marking dates.

2021 Spring Raffle

We will be kicking off the 2021 MBCA Spring Raffle by offering members a chance to enter and win a 2021 Mercedes E450 and a trip to Mercedes-Benz Freude in Hilton Head Island (read more about Mercedes Freude below). Sandhills Motoring Festival – May 28–30

The Sandhills Motoring Festival, held each Memorial Day weekend, is a three-day immersion into automotive culture. Each event centers around the historic backdrop of Pinehurst, from an informal car show and BBQ at renowned Pine Crest Inn, a Road Rally through the Sandhills countryside to a hangar party at the Moore County Airport, all leading up to the Concours in the Village with the SMF Awards dinner afterwards at historic Pinehurst Fair Barn. Legends of the Autobahn® West  – August 13

Legends of the Autobahn West will be at The Club at Pasadera in Monterey, California, during famed Monterey Car Week 2021, celebrating the world's pre-eminent German vehicles. This year MBCA will honor 50 years of the iconic R107 SL as well as 35 years of the W124 500E produced in cooperation with Porsche. For more information, visit www.legendsoftheautobahn.org.

Shenandoah Circuit – September 25–26

Greater Washington Section has hosted the Shenandoah Circuit at Summit Point Motorworks Park for several years. The track offers a challenging 2.2-mile, 17-turn circuit. It is a no-holds-barred technical challenge that even contains a dimensional replica of the Nürburgring-Nordschleife's famous Karussell, complete with 20 degrees of banking. MBCA Mercedes Freude – November 2–5

The 2021 Mercedes Freude Special National Event, will be staged at world-renowned Hilton Head Omni Resort. Activities include a historic rally, driving events, tech sessions, MBCA Concours, Cars & Cocktails, MBCA banquet, golf, and a special visit to the Robert Jepson collection tour. Mercedes Freude will provide an exceptional kickoff  to Legends of the Autobahn East and the famous Hilton Head Island Concours d'Elegance. Legends of the Autobahn® East – November 6

The annual all-German Concours d'Elegance that is a staple of Monterey Car Week will hold a second East Coast event in 2021. Legends of the Autobahn East, in partnership with the Hilton Head Island Motoring Festival's Car Club Showcase, will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at the Port Royal Golf Club.
