The pandemic is still raising havoc, but the problems it causes seem to vary a good deal depending on where you live. We've learned a lot in the past few months about overcoming the challenges of this uncharted territory.

Two issues ago, I wrote about how the club's national team had prepared to work from home to comply with the Governor of Colorado's stay-at-home order. The pandemic is still raising havoc, but the problems it causes seem to vary a good deal depending on where you live. We've learned a lot in the past few months about overcoming the challenges of this uncharted territory.

The good news is the entire national team is safe and healthy, and most of us have been back in the office for the past two months.

By the time my previous column was published, I also wrote that our return would look much different than it used to, and it does. The positive news is that Colorado is doing well with its numbers, and as I am writing this, the number of cases is dropping. But that doesn't mean we are in the clear.

Many section events have ceased, and it is an unknown when we will be able to gather safely again. However, there is hope. I attended a weekend event that hosted a large group of people. The protocols, safety measures, and management of interactions didn't disrupt people from being able to socialize and enjoy time together, safely. It wasn't a car event; however, it encouraged me to learn how to adapt to some new realities so that we might be able to find creative and safe ways to establish future MBCA events.

The team is serving the members every day and helping them as they enjoy the Club's benefits. We've implemented safety protocols that allow our office to operate safely, and we're happy to be back serving members like you.
As we look to the future, programs are still being developed, like the successful social media virtual car shows. The Social Media Committee, chaired by Andrew Opicka from the Wisconsin Section, is planning for some cool things for the rest of this year and into 2021. More to come, and it will be thrilling. To stay up-to-date on what they are up to, visit www.mbca.org/upcoming-smc-events.

I hope all of you are safe and healthy. Until we see what the future holds, I will be anxiously waiting to see you all once again.
