What does winter teach us?

Winter is a special time for Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts of all kinds. For some of us, the dark months are a time to undertake projects–to fix that last nagging thing that doesn't quite work right, or just to relax with a good book by the fire. But for others, it's a time to go out and enjoy winter sports, or to venture forth and take in a grand adventure. If you have a modern Mercedes-Benz, especially one with 4MATIC all-wheel-drive, the winter world is completely accessible.

In this issue, we're proud to tell you about a father/daughter team who took their Mercedes-Benz on a winter quest quite literally to the ends of the Earth, heading up the Alcan highway past the Arctic Circle. You can follow along on their journey, see what they saw, and perhaps draw inspiration for your own trip of a lifetime.

The winter season is also about family, and spending time with loved ones. This year more than ever, we are grateful for the people around us, and mindful of those we cannot see in the interests of keeping everyone healthy. Our lead feature and cover story in this issue reminds us all to make the time to do those "someday" projects with the people we love, while we still can.

We also took the opportunity to speak with Keith Martin, celebrated publisher of Sports Car Market magazine, about his thoughts on Mercedes-Benz and what's next in the world of collector cars.

Being mindful of all that we put on hold or missed in 2020, our message for the season is simple: Cherish your family, appreciate your friends, and seize every opportunity to pursue your own personal adventure behind the wheel of your Mercedes-Benz. A new year has been given to us; let's make the most of it.
